Welcome
Lucky Cluck Farm is a chicken cooperative made up of people who care about where their eggs come from.
The idea behind the co-op is to have one chicken coop where a flock of poultry owners can keep their birds.
This website was designed for our own enjoyment and to get other folks interested in keeping chickens
and starting their own chicken cooperatives!
It’s a great set-up! Co-op members take turns with chicken care, clean-up and maintenance chores. Many members
can’t have chickens where they live, so this is the only way they can own chickens. All members get
the benefit of delicious, healthy, farmstead eggs. Having a co-op like this is also part of the
environmental ethic of eating food that is grown or raised close to where you live. There is also social
component to having a chicken co-op as we are all connected by our interest in keeping chickens.
When we get together we often talk about chickens and even have chicken-themed parties once a year.
We welcome you to check out our website, our blog has the most up to date news about our
group. We hope this site inspires you to start thinking about keeping your own backyard flock of
hens, or, better yet, starting your own chicken cooperative. We love to get friendly comments
and encourage you to contact us at luckycluckfarm@yahoo.com with
any questions about how to get your own co-op started.
